William Maas is a Team Lead at the Field Museum with almost 10 years of experience assisting guests with their visit needs. Prior to the Field Museum, he worked in Arizona assisting guests at the Grand Canyon.

He is certified as an ADA Coordinator through the Great Plains ADA Center and has worked cross–departmentally in the Museum to ensure that the Museum is as inclusive and friendly to all visitors. Working in the Visitor’s Center, answering emails and phones from potential visitors, assisting guests on location, and working with other departments has given William a greater understanding of how to increase the Museum’s knowledge and put in place the best practices of accessibility awareness.

Continually educating himself on best practices through conferences, educational seminars, and independent research, his goal is to make the Field Museum a leader within the Museum sector.
