Founder and Executive Director at The Legacy Project
Victor Salvo is a long-term Chicago activist whose civic-engagement career spans nearly four decades. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the award-winning Legacy Project – the world’s only outdoor museum, traveling installation, and education program dedicated to promoting the contributions Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) people have made to world history and culture as a way to combat anti-LGBT bullying in schools. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (1980) with a double-major in Architectural Design and Community Development. He was inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame in 1998.
